On this page, you will find many MIDI files that are from the ELH Hymnal of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

All of the files on this site are believed to be public domain.  If any of them are not, please contact me and they will be removed promptly.

There are a few rules you need to know:

1. You may not sell the MIDI files, or distribute them as if you made them. Ask me first.

2. You must follow all copyright laws.

3. You may not hold me responsible if the MIDI files do not work properly.

You are allowed to do the following:

1. Use the files in a worship service, or listen to them for fun.

2. Alter them to your liking.

The MIDI files were scanned in, played in with a keyboard, or clicked in with a mouse. Most of them only have one track with all four parts in them. I know many people wished to have several tracks, but that proved to be very time consuming. My goal was to be able to play them in church so we could sing along with them. In addition, issues with the scanning software kept me from putting the MIDI files into separate tracks. I don’t know how often I can update this page, it takes quite a bit of time and gets rather tiresome, so check back every month or so.
